Desert Core is a desk pad designed for “Corian®:40Years/40Designers” travelling exhibition participated by 40 designers from all over the world. It was organised by DuPont to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Corian® and to recognise the contribution of designers to the material’s evolution. After Milan, it travelled to New York, Frankfurt and other major cities of the world.

Taking the fullest advantage of hygenic, elegant and noble characteristics of the material, Desert Core lends deserved dignity to the manager offices. In the chaotic traffic of the everyday business life, Desert Core also plays a psychological role on the user with the relaxing soft curves on its farther end which reminds of the isolated, placid atmosphere of the desert.

The product also distinguishes with its practical and clear manufacturing process: thermoforming.
