ENOUGH BENCH 2009

INSTALLATION AT NISANTASI ART PARK

Dilimbank (sliced bench) is designed for an open air exhibition held at Nisantasi Art Park from 2009 to 2012. Curated by Yılmaz Zenger, the exhibition aimed to raise awareness about the environment through the creativity of artists and designers.

 

All participants were given the same bench to express their approach towards the concept through modification of the object.

Deriving from the fact that people avoid sharing the same bench with a foreigner in the parks, Dilimbank splits into uneven pieces that are slided on a rail in order to serve for different needs of the visitors.
