Demet worked for Kale during the establishment of their kitchen brand KalePlus between 2006-2007. Her service included design development and consultancy. Alaria is one of the series that came out of this collaboration and took its place in KalePlus collection.

She received the Edida award in the Kitchen category in 2009.
